"Mascott" Product Description

Rope Compatible Double: 7.5-8.6 mm. Single: 9-10 mm
Approx. Weight 150 g
Recommended Use High Mountaineering & Expeditions
This device allows users to descend a rapel in safety and can also be used as a belay device either for the lead climber or to bring up the second climber on the rope; all three functions in just one device.

To descend in rapel:
For all rapel descents, big or small, it is fundamental to use a security system as well as a braking system to avoid possible falls or accidents. The advantage of the Mascott is that the security system is automatically integrated into the descender, which saves time and offers extra safety during the descent

    Instructions
  • For 7.5 to 8.6mm double ropes and for 9 to 10mm single ropes
  • Attach by threading the rope through the slots in the device
  • Attach the locking carabiner to the rope loop
  • Tighten the loop
  • Check locking capacity of device
  • Begin descent while regulating speed
  • Device is self locking for greater safety

Belaying the second climber
Use the self-locking plate to belay the second on the rope in comfort and safety.

    Instructions
  • For 7.5 to 8.6mm double ropes and for 9 to 10mm single ropes
  • Classic self-locking plate system, the ideal system for belaying the next climber/s on the rope
  • The head of the Mascott allows lead climber to give the second climber slack while belaying

Belaying lead climber
Easy and efficient to use. The Mascott can be used to belay the lead climber in brake mode

    Instructions
  • Thread the rope loops through the holes in the device. Then attach the loops to two locking carabiners and connect the carabiners to the harness
  • Feeds the rope easily
  • To retain a fall, hold rope below the device. For a dynamic belaying hold the rope below the device and allow a small amount of rope to slip through the belay device

Volveria a comprarlo.
