Black Diamond’s Freeride skis are all about the down, wherever you can find it. The boundaries between in-area and backcountry are crashing and skiers are breaking through to the other side. BD built their 2007 lineup of Freeride skis to help break down these boundaries and let you ski where you want.
Black Diamond’s fall 2007 Freeride skis are divided into 2 collections.
Efficient Series skis are all about the backcountry and lower energy input, emphasizing lighter-weight constructions, while still having the guts to rock solid on the down.
Power Series skis emphasize powerful constructions, with no compromise. These skis are torsionally precise and deliver dynamic performance lap after lap.
The Havoc skis are from BD’s Power Series, for the modern skier who knows no boundaries.
Torsionally charged and longitudinally smooth freeride skis for men and women, the Power Series skis are ideally suited for Big Mountain steeps and high performance resort laps that demand stable, high G-force turning.
The Havoc has inspired a cult following with its twin-tip design and energetic construction, both of which complement hard-charging skiing in the park or the powder.
Redesigned this season, the Havoc features a new wood core and deeper 3D pockets for increased torsional rigidity and a smoother flex, for all-mountain assaults on crud, powder, and crust. The ski’s energy propels you from turn to turn; its dimensions are wide enough for powder and crud, but still nimble in tight lines or the park.
Dual Torsion Bow Technology™ delivers high-speed stability and a stable platform for sticking landings.
