The legacy continues with an all-new Rictor built on a more versatile and wider-waisted all mountain ski chassis complete with top shelf performance, unmatched edge hold, and unrivaled control.
K2's new ROX construction for this season achieves a stronger and harders ski without an increase in weight. With a full length Aspen/Paulownia wood core, reinforced with titanium and MOD system to absorb vibration without losing out on flex. Carbon Web X structure increases torsion resistance. The All-Terrain Rocker makes turns effortless with greater accuracy and edge hold.
The Rictor is ideal for advanced and expert skiers looking for total freedom and maximum performance.
Field of use: 100% all mountain
AT ROX Technology:
Core: Strength and Structure
A K2 ski is designed with a primary core and structural layers that determine the flex along the entire length of the ski.
MOD: Suspension
Added on top of the ski’s primary core is a secondary core called the MOD structure, which essentially acts independently as a suspension system, quieting the ride of the ski. The key is that the MOD structure does not change the overall flex of the ski.
Carbon Web: Increased Edge Hold
A raised X-shaped pattern has been added to specific regions of the MOD structure to support a Carbon Web. This X-shaped carbon support is furthest from the core to increase torsional rigidity, for greater edge-hold and grip. It works independently of the primary core so the overall longitudinal flex is unchanged.
All Terrain Rocker: Effortless Initiation and Accuracy
The addition of the All-Terrain Rocker makes turns effortless with greater accuracy and edge hold.
Hybritech: a unique blend of sidewall and cap constructions. The construction combines the accuracy, power, and performance of sidewall underfoot with the lightweight characteristics and smooth turn initiation of cap construction.
