The
Altavia LS is the second version by
La Sportiva that originated from Ski Trab. Lightweight and stable skis with excellent handling in the descent thanks to
DUO technology which improves the flex of the ski in the tail making it easier to exit and close a turn.
The
Altavia LS has a flat rigid tail that assures perfect stability and support. In the turn the flexibility of the tail makes it easier to close the turn.
The ski is versatile and agile thanks to an 84 mm waist in size 171 cm allowing a quick edge change while providing plenty of stability, making them precise in most snow conditions. They are easy to handle and find the perfect balance in weight for ascent and descent.
The lightweight wooden core with air canals is wrapped in a carbon or carbon/fiberglass sock improving weight while maintaining maximum rigidity and torsion and flexibility. The carbon reinforcement and 4 axial fibreglass increase rigidity without compromising flex or weight. Power is increased by adding fibre plate support where the bindings are fitted to the ski. It is a combination of 14 layers with carbon, fibreglass and hybrid layers improving the flex of the ski.
The ski includes a scratch proof polyamide protection film increasing the lifetime of the core and the structure in general.
Low Omega Profile technology creates a varied profile reducing parts where flex and handling are important and reinforcing others where rigidity is important.
An innovative sidecut allows a gradual turn initiation in fresh snow, while maintaining edge contact on hard pack.
