JAUME ALTADILL Born in Móra d’Ebre, Tarragona, in 1950. Mountaineer and climber since 1965 Professional Ski and Mountain Photographer since 1975. 1978 - Started working with film, in advertising and sporadic collaborations with TVE. 1984 – Took up the post of Camera operator for TV3, (autonomous Catalan television network) and have worked as a reporter and producer since 1994. Jaume has participated in many types of programmes and documentaries, some of which were directly related to mountaineering, such as “TEMPS DE NEU” or “TEMPS d’AVENTURA”, and has also made travel and mountain documentaries”. He has produced advertising spots and films for several ski resorts in the Pyrenees, and has also taken ski photographs which have been used for advertising brochures. In the world of photography, he has collaborated with several publishers. His work has been published in mountaineering books and magazines such as: SÓLO NIEVE, MUNTANYA, VÈRTEX, GAME MAGAZINE, DESNIVEL, GRANDES ESPACIOS, GEO, NATIONAL GEOGRAPHIC & ALTAÏR. He also forms part of the Film and Production Team for a TV programme related to mountaineering: “EL CIM” by TV3, directed by Miquel García (January - 2003). The first live TV broadcast from the summit of the ACONCAGUA was carried out during this programme. A particularity about this programme is that it generated contrasting opinions, including strong criticism by an important part of the mountaineering community.
