This is probably one of the most resistant half ropes out there. With 8.8mm diameter and 60m length, it has a compact, highly abrasion-resistant sheath to stand up to the most demanding use on your climbing adventures.
It is also lightweight, making it the perfect choice for guides, mountain professionals, clubs and rescue operations.
Beal has constructed the Pro Mountain rope with slightly less stretch to respond to the demands of professionals who need a rope that won't stretch so much under heavy loads. However, this also means that it is not as dynamic as other ropes.
Using Unicore technology, which, until now, has only been used on semi-static ropes. Beal has bonded the rope sheath and core without affecting the rope's suppleness. This bonding means that the rope swells less when wet, offers easier handling and is more durable. It also feels as if you are using a much narrower and lighter rope, yet has all the advantages of a single rope .
Golden Dry treatment: Beal also enhances the durability of the core by another exclusive procedure. Every filament in the strands of the core is coated with a fluoride solution by a continuous process, which is then heat-set and polymerised onto the polyamide. Protecting the rope from water absorption eliminates weight increase, risk of freezing on cold weather climbs, and slows the wearing of the rope considerably.
