Giving you the best grip for jugging icy, muddy ropes, the nForce ascender generates more clamping force than conventional designs. It uses a four-bar linkage that drives your body weight into the rope and fast cam manipulation is achieved by using the thumb, trigger finger or the edge of the frame. The grip accomodates gloves, and a 360?-degree biner clip-in point allows full rotation of locking biners.

Se está acostumbrado a la utilización de puños bloqueadores de Petzl o Kong Bonati, los cuales llevan un gatillo de apertura sin un seguro tan complejo y que obliga a una elevación del gatillo que además se acciona con el dedo índice introduciendolo dentro de la leva de bloqueo o con el gatillo. Para manos pequeñas esta operación es incómoda, pero permite a la vez dos formas de desbloquear.
La leva de bloqueo es amplia y sujeta firme la cuerda pero faltan los canales de evacuación de barro/nieve, aunque el fabricante asegura que no le hacen falta. Hemos constatado que en barro sujeta de forma firme igual que aquellos bloqueadores que poseen estos canales de evacuación y cuya leva también es de inferior tamaño.
Es una buena opción aunque el fabricante debería complementarlos con bloqueadores ventrales aptos para, no sólo trabajos verticales, sino espeleología y progresión por cuerdas fijas. Es una buena innovación aunque no dejan de recordar un poco a la época de los puños Jumar.
