Features camp blade runner size 1
Innovative crampon that guarantees maximum performance, versatility and customization.
It is the equipment of reference for ice falls, extreme mixed and technical mountaineering. Blade Runner, thanks to its structure characterized by a fully adjustable heel counter with steps that improve locking by unloading the force of the step on the heel itself, combines the stability and effectiveness of structural crampons vertical to the precision, versatility and ease of adjustment of horizontal structures.
The rear part of the crampon is made of Sandvik Nanoflex steel which, given its exceptional resistance and toughness characteristics, allows the structure piece to be reduced by 2.75 to 1.80 mm, which guarantees greater lightness and longitudinal flexibility, so that it adapts perfectly to all types of sole. The absence of mobile joints ensures lateral rigidity and, with it, the perfect fixation of the crampon, which behaves as a single block to offer extraordinary performance with each step.
The geometry of the front spikes offers safety, precision and comfort in any situation: on more compact ice walls, for example, with the single spike configuration, stability is provided by the improved fixed spikes central and lower lateral ones that are successively supported up to the heel and create an evident "staggered effect"; and, in addition, in the most demanding mixed, these spikes allow extensive movements without risk of wearing out the main support spike. It's quick and easy to switch to the twin-tip configuration or replace the ice spikes with the hard snow spikes (innovative with their chisel-beveled design on all three sides).
The asymmetrical design of the Blade Runner and, specifically, of its front part, where the tips are grouped convergingly and not in parallel, favoring the expulsion of snow when used without antibott, guarantees excellent performance with any shoe and fit.
We must not forget to highlight the possibility of going from the automatic to the semi-automatic closure, replacing the new front arch with the appropriate toe cap in order to be able to use the Blade Runner with boots without a front recess, nowadays very used in ascents in which you advance on the rock without wearing crampons.
Sandvik Nanoflex® is an innovative alloy steel system that is 25% harder than normal alloy steel; allows a significant reduction in the amount of metal used, reducing weight while maintaining hardness.
