Eighth installment of the Almanaque de los Pirineos collection, a book set in stories and personal experiences in the different valleys of the Aragonese Pyrenees. A leap into the past to better understand Alto Aragonese history.

On its cover a recreation of the inauguration of the Universiade 81 in the vicinity of the old Jaca ice rink and with the Peña Oroel in the background. The illustration that will serve as the cover in this seventh edition of the Almanaque de los Pirineos collection is perhaps one of the most symbolic moments of the decade.
On February 23, 1981, at the time that the Olympic torch that was to preside over those university games traveled the last stretch between Sabiñánigo and Jaca (they had arrived in Madrid by plane from Mexico), a group of civil guards under the command of Lieutenant Colonel Tejero it broke into the Congress of Deputies. That country that after four decades wanted to open up to the world and organized for the first time an international sporting event with the Aragonese Pyrenees as the setting, lived days of uncertainty.

A 224-page book written and designed as a magazine that is structured by months to address the main events that occurred in the Aragonese Pyrenees. The artistic direction and design of the collection are carried out by Víctor Gomollón from Zaragoza, while the direction, writing and production are the work of the journalist jaqués Sergio Sánchez Lanaspa.
