Features fritschi tecton 12 100mm
The Tecton renews the toe cap of the binding, in relation to the Vipec, making a more compact and secure block, through greater ease of fitting the toe cap thanks to a more solid stop, a an improved guide and a larger opening of the stops, and providing more security in the exit of the boot forward when jumping back, since the bolts open more quickly when they feel the pressure on the toe.On the other hand, the heel cup is modified in relation to the vipec since the fastening system goes from the entry bolts in the dynafit rear system to a common clamp of most bindings, usually alpine, with pressure on the base back of the boot.
It combines parts of the Vipec Evo such as its renewed and safe toe cap with Low Tech system, with a heel with the usual alpine spring that acts with pressure on the rear base of the boot.
Some important advantages of this fixation over others with the Tech system should be highlighted:
- Lateral toe release . When the binding receives a strong blow on the side (depending on the DIN that we have set) the sides open as the track bindings act. The sides have an elasticity of 13 mm until the final release .
- Toe release regulation . It is regulated exactly the same as a track both in the toe and in the heel, with the same DIN values of 5-12.
- It does not need to block the toe cap on the rise , it has a position that stiffens the toe cap so that it does not jump with the gesture of walking if we go on mid-slopes or stumble, but that frees up against strong falls or in the case of being caught by an avalanche while climbing.
- The heel cup is mounted on a sliding guide, so that it maintains the distance when flexing the ski without compromising the safety of unhooking. It also allows a better flex of the ski improving driving. The heel cup also has an elasticity of up to 4mm before vertical release.
- Putting the binding in ski mode, it is very easy, switch from ski mode to walking mode, and vice versa, on the go, without having to remove the ski.
- Wide mounting scheme with range for various sizes (about 25 mm range).
In addition to all these data, we can say that the Tecton 12 binding has three lift positions, for maximum comfort on ascents and very easy to lift with the pole. They are recommended for skis with wide skates, we would say that for more than 67 mm.
Features:
- Only compatible with boots with the Tech system. In competition type boots you must use an optional clip that has the toe cap and in some models an attachment to increase the rear base.
- Safety outlet in toe cap as heel.
- Din of 5-12 in toe and heel.
- Can be customized with a colored clip, which is not included with the fixation.
- Recommended for skis with skates longer than 67 mm by the manufacturer, it is the minimum width of the binding.
- Includes 100 mm brake.
- Weight according to manufacturer 550 g / unit.
IMPORTANT NOTE: By manufacturer's recommendation, this mounting model NO is compatible for design reasons with the F1 Tronic and Alien models (not RS) from Scarpa and TLT 7 from Dynafit. It is recommended not to exceed DIN 9 in Atomic Backland models to avoid deformation of the toe of the boot due to excessive frontal angulation.
