Light ice ax of the brand CAMP.

The Neve light ice ax is designed for tours of glaciers and easy ascents of snow in the mountains. It is recommended for beginners in glacier crossings or for beginners in winter mountains or high mountains in summer. Very complete and versatile, its weight is hardly noticeable in the backpack or in the hand and it is the ideal tool to conquer summits safely.

Its structure is made with a classic straight shaft made of high quality 2.5mm 6082 aluminum alloy. The pickaxe with the asymmetrical tip is made of stainless and very durable NiCrMo (iron, carbon, nickel, chrome and molybdenum) steel, designed to penetrate easily even in hard snow or alpine ice.

The cross has an ergonomic curved shape for a good grip in its ice ax-cane mode while we walk and the blade has very good performance in carving steps. In this new version the recesses have been oversized to further lighten the weight without sacrificing strength.

It has a hole in the head that is large enough to attach a carabiner. The Touring drag included is adjustable to the wrist and comes complete with a rubber stopper on the handle, making it perfect for always carrying the ice ax with you during carving and self-arrest maneuvers.

UIAA-152 EN-13089 type 1 approved. The Neve ice ax has an approximate weight of 495 grams for size 57 centimeters.
