Climbing Technology multi-use belayer/descender
Multi-purpose belayer/descender with innovative and compact design (registered design), suitable for use with double ropes, twin ropes and single rope, for mountaineering, multi-pitch sport climbing and trad climbing. Intuitive and easy to use, it has a modular braking system to optimize braking with all types of ropes and allows independent and self-locking belaying of the seconds.Allows :
- Securing the lead in a very effective way. The special design of the body allows for fluid winding, quickly and without problems;
- during the belaying of the lead on routes of various lengths with two ropes, it allows one rope to be wound while the other is blocked. This possibility of maneuvering makes Be Up something unique of its kind;
- The effective and modular braking of the ropes thanks to the V-grooves, specially designed for better braking control when stopping a falling, rappelling and belaying of seconds;
- Independent and self-locking belaying of one or two seconds of climbing (guide mode). The special geometry of the device and the anchoring ring integrated into the body allow you to effectively secure one or two seconds with double ropes and twin ropes of Ø ≥ 7.3 mm. It also allows securing a second while the other hangs from the device;
- Unlocking and progressive lowering of a second under tension even in a vacuum, without effort, with double ropes and twin ropes of Ø ≥ 7.3 mm . This maneuver makes BE UP unique in its kind and is carried out by inserting a simple HMS carabiner into the unlocking hole;
- The possibility of quickly switching from the belay mode to the second (guide mode). to belay the first, in 'alternate' climbs;
- The rappelling descent keeping the ropes separated. The V-grooves allow effective control of the descent speed, without curling the ropes.
