"Vertex Axe" Product Description

Very light technical mountaineering tool with modular spike system, for use in a wide variety of alpine terrains. The axle geometry is straight enough to be efficient on less steep terrain and to dive into snow, yet curved enough to have precise turning and provide clearance over ice bumps.
Features:- Refined peak geometry optimized for ice climbing.
- Sliding palm rest compatible with Vertex, Spire and Spire Tech.
- High strength alloy steel pick, point, adze/hammer for excellent durability.
- Minimalist hot forged head for strength and durability. Designed to fit comfortably in the hand.
- The raised serration on the beak allows the tool to be used with or without an adze or hammer.
- DMM's proven and highly functional compact adze, perfectly shaped for cutting belays and preparing ice screw placements.
- New compact hammer ideal for driving pitons and adding weight to the blow of the axe.
- Equal weights on both adze and hammer provide a balanced swing when using two tools.
- Sturdy and lightweight anodized aluminum shaft for reliable support.
- Weight approximately 430 g.
