The titanal front stop stops the boot at the height of the pins and thus puts it in an ideal position to hold the binding. Time-tested icebreaker pins keep snow and ice out of the inserts. In addition, the toe cap is built so that accumulated ice and snow are loosened and pushed outwards when stepping in. That means nothing stands in your way and you are ready to go straight away. On the downhill, this premium lightweight binding scores points with great performance and excellent power transfer to the ski.

Of course, safety and reliability always have top priority: the lateral and vertical release values can be adjusted from DIN 4 to 12. A 7 mm forward pressure ensures that the release value remains constant and precise even with ski deflection. When it comes to ease of use, the Ridge is in a league of its own, as evidenced by numerous additional details and features: The patented brake has been developed so that it is never activated by mistake. The brakes are retracted in ascent mode with the first step into the binding and are automatically activated in descent mode. The toe center and the two riser heights are designed to be easily accessed with a ski pole. The second riser level automatically moves into position as soon as the first is folded down, making access even more comfortable. For hard and icy conditions, the Ridge binding can be used with ski crampons.

Here, too, the developers worked to add further comfort. The new ski crampons with the so-called “Quick-in Achse” can be mounted effortlessly both from the side and directly from the top. Especially in difficult terrain, mounting from the top works both faster and easier. As with all DYNAFIT ski touring bindings, the Ridge was developed in Germany and is manufactured in Europe.
