This guide presents us with a great cultural route in which medieval Romanesque art and history are the main protagonists. Its castles, bridges, hermitages, basilicas and cathedrals will make us better understand the way of life of that small feudal kingdom of early medieval warriors and peasants that, overcoming all kinds of difficulties, was able to carry out a great territorial reconquest in the Peninsula and later becoming the most powerful kingdom in the Mediterranean basin at the end of the late Middle Ages.

This great journey through the Huesca Pre-Pyrenees is structured along 19 stages plus a complementary route, which combines history and art with landscapes of exceptional beauty. A route that begins at the very foot of the Pyrenean mountains and passes through the protected area of San Juan de la Peña, the kingdom of the Mallos, the flat land of the Hoya de Huesca and the Guara canyons, as well as the unknown jungles del Sobrarbe and Ribagorza.

Each stage is presented with a synoptic map, an altimetry profile, the specific cartography of the stage and a detailed description of the entire route. In those we consider key places, the approximate kilometer distance from the start, the altitude and the UTM coordinates are indicated.
