The Katadyn Hiker Pro is designed to eliminate bacteria and protozoan cysts such as Giardia or Cryptosporidium. To prolong cartridge life, always use the cleanest water source available.

Cartridge capacity depends on water quality. The Katadyn Hiker Pro has been tested after filtering about 750 liters (without filter protector), proving to be effective in eliminating bacteria (Klebsiella terrigena) and protozoan cysts such as (Giardia or Cryptosporidium). For optimal performance, the cartridge should be changed after about 750 liters or when the pump becomes difficult to start.

Your Katadyn microfilter includes a connector that allows the outlet hose to be attach to the built-in connection accessory to many hydration reservoirs such as Nalgene, Jansport, etc. This handy feature allows for easy refilling of the hydration reservoirs.

Disinfect the microfilter before storing it to prevent the growth of microorganisms inside the pump.
