The foot sits directly on the dual-density EVA midsole that has a soft contact area. This is combined with a high-density ESS zone located just above the sole that is designed to provide optimal cushioning against impact and is visible through openings located within the Vibram® Duke.

The sole features traction lug technology: a tread pattern specifically designed for varied terrain, stones, gravel and grass that ensures better grip underfoot.

The toecap has a climbing area, ideal for more demanding trails or via ferrata, while the rubber toecap protects the foot and provides better shock absorption.

The Duke Mid GTX have a textile upper part with seamless PU inserts and the Gore-Tex Invisible Fit membrane laminated directly on it. This special construction technique ensures that weight is kept to a minimum.
