The Kingpin offers a high-performance binding, an innovative take on two-piece ski touring bindings and a front low tech system combined with the heel pressure plate.It is the first fastener in the world to achieve DIN ISO 13992 Pintech: 2007 , certified by the prestigious German TÜV testing organization. Developed for a wide range of skiing environments, Kingpin is a standout product in three key areas: added protection and safety performance through optimal power transmission and comfort in the form of easy operation in ski and climb mode.
The combination of optimized pivot point, closer to the toes, better handling and the fact that the heel does not rise compared to the binding frame, greatly saves a lot of energy when climbing. This is especially noticeable on long, high-altitude trips.
The lever that changes the mode can be used without removing the toe from the binding, providing more comfort and speed. Its 7 and 13 degree risers are easily manipulated with the pole, it contains a sliding plate at the base of the heel for easier escapement, and the screws are arranged with 38 mm wide.
6 connection springs in the toe box to fix the toe of the boot and two rollers on the sides of the heel to facilitate the placement and removal of the heel. A screw allows you to adjust the vertical stop of the toe box so that the boot sits perfectly and does not move due to the pressure of the heel.
