Active self-heating blanket
EasyWarm is a single-use, non-sterile blanket designed to prevent the patient from entering hypothermia during the perioperative period. The blankets are individually packaged in vacuum bags. Once the blanket is removed from the vacuum bag, the heating pads will begin to generate heat when exposed to air.
How it works:
BARRIER EasyWarm should be used by or under the supervision of a qualified healthcare professional. BARRIER EasyWarm is indicated for use in perioperative hospital settings. BARRIER EasyWarm should be used at an ambient temperature of 18-24C. 1. Remove the blanket from the container by tearing through the pre-cut tab. 2. Open and fully unfold the blanket. 3. Wait about 30 minutes until the blanket warms up. 4. Place the blanket over the patient with the heating pads facing up. The correct side is indicated by the "THIS SIDE UP" mark on the blanket. The blanket should not be placed over the patient's face. Do not tuck the blanket under the patient's arms, legs, or body or place it under the patient. The hands, arms, and limbs of the anesthetized patient should not be placed on the blanket. Attachment belts, straps, straps, or additional bedding should not be used in addition to the blanket. No additional weight or pressure should be added to the top of the blanket, including additional bedding products, medical instruments, and other weight-bearing objects. Regularly monitor the skin response according to clinical criteria. When accessing the patient, rotate or slide the blanket and do not fold it over itself. The maximum duration of the blanket's heat is 10 hours.
Precautions:
Do not use BARRIER EasyWarm in patients with known hypersensitivity to product materials. • It is recommended to avoid direct contact with the skin in areas with bruising, swelling and frostbite. • The heating pads are magnetic and not translucent. The blanket should be removed before imaging is taken with MRI or X-ray devices. • The heat generated by the blanket may lead to increased drug delivery from transdermal medication systems (patches). • Do not reuse. Doing so could result in deterioration of product performance and cross-contamination could occur.
Warnings:
The blanket is not sterile. Take the necessary precautionary measures to protect the sterile field
