The smallest and lightest Mountain Equipment backpack in the ultra-light, robust and highly water-repellent Tupilak series is ideal for minimalist alpinists and projects that require less material.

Made with PACT™ 300 & 100 R², are robust, high-strength nylon woven materials with a double ripstop construction. They are coated with DWR on the outside and 25 micron waterproof TPU on the inside.

The back plate made of dense, high-quality EVA foam is very light and there is usually no reason to remove it. However, it can simply be removed, for example if you want to minimize weight, replace it with a thin sleeping mat for bivouacing or to dry your pack.
