The new Chimera represents the peak of our current skills in building state-of-the-art climbing shoes and materials. This lean model features a handcrafted multi-panel upper, a rubber-wrapped forefoot, an aggressively sloped down profile, and an asymmetrical shape with a full-length lace closure.
The Chimera achieves the perfect combination of power and sensitivity: PCB-Tension & trade; active rand allows the climber to grip the feet like an extra pair of hands on steep overhangs, while the TPS insert provides edge power and low support feet when transitioning to more vertical terrain with smaller footholds.
Combination of SRT toe protection and strategically placed asymmetric lacing system allows for excellent toe hooking ability while providing a high range of fit for a variety of foot shapes and volumes of climbers. The Chimera is a perfect option for sport climbing and rocks that feature a variety of climbing angles.
