One device to do it all, the Shuttle offers maximum versatility. It has a groove, designed and shaped to provide equal friction for both thin and thick ropes.
When you´re belaying from above, the "guide mode" lets you bring up one or two seconding climbers under control. For lowering, it has a small secondary hole that you can clip a carabiner to or a sling for more leverage to release the device.
Designed for twin, half and single ropes
Lightweight and compact, only 65 g
V-grooves for high friction when belaying the leader or rappeling
Self locking function when belaying the second
Eye for releasing the weight
Possibility of simultaneous belaying two climbers
Approx. weight: 65 g
Rope diameter: 7.8 − 10.5 mm
Material: Light alloy

I have used Singing Rocks's Shuttle both for sport (lead and top-rope) and trad climbing as well as rapelling some routes. I also used in "guide mode" with one climber coming up only. The secondary role to release device when using the "guide mode" is very convenient. The device is comparable to similar hardware provided by other brands such as Petzl's Reverso and Black Diamond's ATC Guide. My rope is a 10.2 mm Edelweiss and I would say it is pretty much the maximum rope diameter for this device as it locks a bit too much in the "guide mode". When using it with an old 10.5 mm Mammut rope belaying become impracticable in "guide mode" but acceptable in otherwise. I would buy Shuttle again given the much lower price.
